It is crucial for the warehouse to have access to roads and road infrastructure. Warehouses of the highest class should be located close to a highway – the distance from it cannot exceed 5 kilometers. This part of the warehouse also has to be well-lit, with corresponding number of gates for loading/unloading purposes. Slowly, a new, environmentally-friendly solution are being introduced, such as the LED lighting. One can also has to remember that office space should also comprise from at least 5 to around 10% area of the warehouse itself. Usually, the minimal period of rental for such a warehouse oscillates around 3 years, and in most cases bank guarantees are used to secure the deals. Rent is given in Euros per cubic meter, and apart from that maintenance fees are added to the total.
When it comes to the most modern warehouses of the highest standards, all of those requirements are obligatory.
